About This Guide
In the last 8 years I have been lucky enough to have spoken to 1000's of window cleaners starting, running, growing or selling window cleaning businesses. In each particular situation people ask the same questions and I give pretty much the same answers each time.
My intention is to constantly grow this guide to cover everything ever asked by a new window cleaner. You will inevitably find some information elsewhere which you need to know and I've certainly missed something which you may want the answer to. If I have let me know.
I will try to cover essential topics along with a selection of guides and projects for the experienced window cleaner. Feel free to ask me about anything I haven't covered.
These pages are built to answer your questions and other relevant information I think would be valuable. Most of the solutions come from me own experience, the rest from personal research. Although my personal experience originates in the cleaning industry, some broader topics are relevant for a variety of businesses.
Hopefully you will find solutions to help you through the process of starting and growing your window cleaning business
I have intentionally left out specific product recommendations unless I felt that a particular brand or product has a specific value. I have found that, given the right information, people can usually make good decisions about products and brands that will suit them.
Also, you won't find any selfies or time wasting YouTube videos going into the most boring or acute details on the length of bristles of a brush or the pivot angle of whatever squeegee is hot right now. I personally don't see it as that valuable right at the start of a new window cleaning business.
