After Researching Guttervacs for some time,I decided to go for the Atom as for the price,it looked like a decent, compact little vac that I could fit in the van, would'nt take up too much space and would make my Job a little bit safer and easier.
I've been in the business many years, enough to know now that it's almost impossible to reach Gutters over conservatory roofs without putting yourself and the property at risk, and I'm realising I no longer want to be hanging off Ladders 25ft up!
I'm Impressed at the power of the Atom,at 1600w I didnt expect much grunt, but after cleaning out a couple of domestic jobs that were chocked with moss and seagull nests,it cleared them with relative ease..
Yes,the U tools do get clogged up!.Yes,You may have to turn off the Vac at regular intervals to clear a blockage in the pipe..and Yes,it is a pain in the a** to have to clean out all the gear afterwards..But,I'd rather do all this knowing that I've cleared the whole gutter out inc.hoppers from the safety of the Ground.
Its a tough, robust piece of kit and looks professional which,If looked after will be a worthy investment.
On a finisher,I would'nt use this above the 30ft Kit,I just don't think it'll have the lift to clear efficiently..that'd need a bigger system. and I would reccomend getting a cheapy action cam with bluetooth so you can see what you're doing and spot check the gutters are cleared properly.
A worthy investment!
